A few reminders!

 Mom's night out on Oct 22nd (tomorrow!) 6:30pm at Sunspot on the Cumberland strip & Harvest Festival Oct 27th 4-6pm @ Central Baptist Church of Bearden. Moms night out is a chance for us mommies to enjoy some time socializing together! The harvest festival is a free event for families....food, treats, inflatables, puppets, games, costumes and a trunk or treat! Hope to see you at both events!

Our meeting tonight and upcoming Harvest festival

Tonight is our next meeting! It will be in Rm 332 CBCB Bearden at 6pm. We will be hearing from Becky Crenshaw on the "Moment that changes motherhood". Later this month on Oct. 27 is the Harvest festival at the church from 4-6pm. There will be puppets, candy, bounce house, food, games, prizes and a Trunk-or-treat! The MOPS group will be participating in the Trunk-or Treat and decorating our fearless leaders van. It should be a great night for you and your little one. See you tonight!

Thursday Oct. 10th-Our next meeting!

As mothers of preschoolers we know that life can be chaotic and well downright messy. We also have special precious moments with our little ones that we will treasure forever. This year's MOPS theme is "A Beautiful Mess". Even in the messiness of life God still finds us beautiful and cherishes us, just as we do our little ones. We hope you and your beautiful mess will join us at our next meeting on Oct. 10th at 6pm Central Baptist Church RM 332. Becky Crenshaw will be speaking on "The moment that changes motherhood". First MOMS night out of 2013

Tonight is our first Mom's night out! We will meet at the Newk's near Cedar Bluff at 6:30pm and then head to Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt. See you all then!

Great first meeting!

We had a great first meeting last Thursday and it was fun "getting to know you" all more! If you were not able to attend we missed you and hope you can make it to the next meeting on October 10th. Later this month is our first Mom's night out on September 23rd at 6:30pm. We will be meeting at the Newk's at Cedar Bluff for food and fellowship then head to Orange Leaf for frozen yogurt. Getting ready for the new 2013-2014 year!

Get ready ladies! Next week is the start of a new MOPS year! Our first meeting will be Sept. 12th at 6pm at Central Baptist Church of Bearden Rm 332. You can register yourself and your little one(s) through our registration page on this blog. Please tell all your friends with children birth through kindergarten and invite them to come to our meeting! Check out our meeting dates and Mom's night dates as well and place them on your calendars. See you all next week!

Getting to know us: Co-Leader Amanda Beckett

Amanda is new to the Knoxville area but has already jumped in and has been a great asset to MOPS! Amanda and her husband Brandon have two daughters Mary Charles(3) and Collier(6 months). Amanda is currently a stay at home mommy but has a law degree and until recently practiced in Birmingham, AL before moving to Tennessee. We look forward to her leadership this year!

Getting to know us: Website/Facebook- Stephanie Hickey

Hi! My name is Stephanie Hickey. I have been married to my husband Charlie for 9 years. We have one son named Will who is 14 months old. I have been a busy career woman so this is my first year in MOPS. I am an associate veterinarian at Admiral Veterinary Hospital and have been working there for 5 years post-graduation from the University of Tennessee. I am a native Knoxvillian but briefly lived in Ohio during my childhood and returned in high school.

I love to read, swim, knit, and play my Clarinet. I spend my spare time showing my dogs and working with rescue groups to rehome animals in need. I am looking forward to getting to know the mommies this year and having some girl time with friends!
